OJ Simpson has been granted a parole hearing that starts today (7/20) at 1pm. It’s being live streamed at USAtoday.com. If he is granted parole, he could be released as early as October 1st but if he is denied parole, it could be anywhere from a year to three years before he is granted another parole hearing.
According to USA Today, they are saying the hearing will be rather quick, and the board will be comprised of 4 members to make the decision. If all 4 can not agree on a decision then two more members will be patched in via phone. 4 members have to have the same answer for the proceeding to grant or deny parole. If the decision is split 3-3 then Simpson will have to wait until January 2018 for another hearing.
