Subways Oven-Roasted Chicken is Found to Be Only 50% Chicken

Subway’s oven-roasted chicken breast is only 50 percent chicken, according to a new study conducted by DNA researcher Matt Harnden of Trent University’s Wildlife Forensic DNA Laboratory. Meanwhile, Subway’s sweet onion teriyaki strips allegedly came in at an even lower score, if thats even at all possible… Biopsies revealed that the “meat” consisted of just 42.8 percent chicken and 58.2 percent soy. CBC News reports that Harnden also tested the poultry DNA in popular chicken sandwiches from various fast-food chains, including A&W (89.4 percent), Wendy’s (88.5 percent), Tim Hortons (86.5 percent), and McDonald’s (84.9 percent). Subway, Wendy’s and McDonald’s have all since responded to the report by insisting that they use “100 percent chicken.” So much for eat fresh.
