Clemson Takes Home Big Championship Win Against Bama in Final Moments of Game

By MelissaOnK923

This is something you would only see in a movie… Literally, there was one second left on the clock, Clemson receiver Hunter Renfrow caught a two-yard touchdown pass from Deshaun Watson, giving the #2-ranked Tigers a stunning 35-31 victory over #1 ranked Alabama. The Crimson Tide brought a 24-14 lead going into the fourth quarter, but the formidable team was no match for Tigers QB Watson, who orchestrated drives of 72 and 88 yards and, later, executed a flawless two-minute drill encompassing nine plays and 68 yards to bring his team to victory. “I’m speechless right now man,” Watson, who passed for 420 yards overall, said after the game. “We worked so hard for it; we fell short last year. This game wasn’t just for me…It’s for all the alumni, the fans, my city in Gainesville, my family, myself. This is bigger than just me.”
