Kanye West says he met with Donald Trump to discuss “multicultural issues.” The rapper addressed their chat in a series of tweets on Tuesday afternoon.
“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” West wrote. “These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”
And, apparently, West no longer plans to run for president in 2020. Instead, he tweeted, “#2024.” We assume the hashtag suggests the performer is expecting Trump to have two terms in office, and won’t run against him in four years.
West’s tweets on the meeting were not only his first Twitter posts since his hospitalization, but his first messages to fans in more than a month.
